Webinar: TSS Tips and Tricks with Dr. David Clark

Tips and Tricks:

1. Type of cases to use TSS for: Use them in cases where the papilla is normal, most Class 3s and 4s.

2. Type of treatments they are not appropriate for: Not for closing black triangles.

3. How to stabilize: I use my finger or a direct contact strut to stabilize them.

4. Not long enough: Then, perhaps use something else like a 360 veneer or BT matrix.

5. Lingual of lateral seems to be a problem for keeping the matrix in place: Trim the palatal flange, just like we used to do with the 360 veneer matrix.

6. Access difficult for getting brushes and composite into: I cut a V-notch facially that extends to the midfacial of the tooth.

7. Harder to get into the sulcus? You might want to use the sanders just a little more than you currently do.
