As part of the Bioclear Method, Bioclear recommends the use of a rubber dam during all procedures to increase both the effectiveness of the procedure and the safety of the patient. Use of a rubber dam compresses the gingiva which allows the matrices to be seated deeper increasing the sub-gingival marginal edge. This allows for a smooth emergence profile once the dam has been removed enabling the gingiva to expand back to normal. Use of a rubber dam is also recommended for patient safety because it prevents patients from aspirating small parts in case something like a matrix or wedge is dropped during the procedure.

The Bioclear Rubber Dam Stamp is designed to make frequent use of rubber dams easier in that it is used to ink a guide on the dam showing where the holes should be punched to increase ease of fit for patients. An ink pad is included with the Rubber Dam Stamp for your convenience.
