INJECTION MOLDING AND THE BIOCLEAR METHOD FOR DIRECT COMPOSITE RESIN RESTORATIONS

Aesthetic and functional challenges in direct restorative techniques are part of the daily life of general dentists.  From the management of day-to-day operative dentistry, to cracked teeth, to the challenge of black triangles secondary to orthodontics or the patient’s periodontal condition, the practitioner is always looking to expand their tools and resources.  Minimally invasive, predictability, stability and durability, these are the attributes of the Bioclear Method – every time.

This full day course includes a variety of hands-on exercises using the injection molding technique and heated composites, as well as the prepping sequence and polishing steps according to the Bioclear Method.

• Familiarization with the Bioclear instrumentation, as well as the various series of anatomically molded mylar matrices (anterior and posterior).
• Learn the 5 pillars of the Bioclear Method and their importance for unparalleled clinical success.
• Discussion of injection overmolding techniques for conservative restorations.
• Solutions for the restoration of black triangles.
• Radius bevel concept in extensive Class III restorations for a “chameleon” effect.
• Concept of compression in direct posterior restorations.
• Bioclear Class II concept and demonstration to ensure immediate compression of all your posterior restorations.

DEMONSTRATION:
• Rejuvenation of a black triangle and a peg lateral.
• Preparation of the radius bevel and restoration of an extensive Class III.
• Transformation of a traditional Class II into Bioclear Class II.
• 2-step cut-back and polishing sequence for an unrivaled glossy finish.

SPEAKER: Dr. Marie-France Roux, DMD
Dr. Marie-France Roux is the co-owner of a practice in Downtown Montreal. After graduating from the University of Montreal in 2002, she completed a multi-disciplinary residency at Seton Hall University, then began her training in occlusion at the Dawson Center in Tampa Bay. Dr. Roux is Bioclear Certified and is dedicated to teaching the Bioclear method to Canadian dentists.
